Fine-Tuning Your Market Goals: A Methodology
While every consulting project and client is unique, we’ve found that
most companies seeking our expertise do so because they have limited customer
interaction — this translates into difficulty selecting product direction.
Our communication’s experts help define your direction by meeting with
your company management and, if you desire, investors and board members so
we can gain a full understanding of your business plan. After our initial meeting,
we then help you identify potential markets for your company's technology — as
well looking at key competitors and their products. Bour Communications then
creates an initial product proposal that examines the target market’s
size and prospective customers. Armed with this information and your feedback,
we create a customer presentation that introduces the your company as well
as the proposed product to the prospective customers. Customer contacts are
obtained from an extensive Bour Communications, LLC contact list.
The consulting project may include actual customer engagement or the project
may be handed off at this stage to company staff for the customer visits. If
the project involves customer visits, this typically involves a joint visit
that includes the client staff. Detailed notes are created and reviewed
with the client
following the visit. Consulting projects range from 1-18 months. The final
deliverable is a product definition and roadmap that is consistent with
the capabilities
of the client and validated by direct customer meetings.
